The structure of Baseball in the United States

As a college baseball player you can get nominated for the MLB draft. Annually, the most promising college players are nominated for this event. So, are you playing on a high level in the Netherlands and do you have a havo, mbo or vwo degree and is your English reasonably good? Then you are already beyond first base to turn your American dream into reality. Do you have a – (nog niet vermeld op Nederlandstalige website) degree, you can attend a NCJAA college for two years before signing for an university.

As a college baseball player you are absorbed in the sporting environment on a daily basis. You practice, travel and play games on an elite level. And in between all these sessions and games, you have access to the best facilities and specialists that make sure you maintain and improve your condition levels.

Besides the busy sports schedule, your study is demanding as well. As a student-athlete you will need great discipline for starters. Together with your academic advisors and coaches you will be developing your own schedule, which allows you to perform on the pitch and in the classroom.
