Moniek van Aarle just recently graduated from her undergraduate Medicine program at Maastricht University. She quickly moves to Virginia to play field hockey and study at Liberty University. A giant step for this intelligent field hockey player!
Van Aarle transfers from SMHC de Hopbel Schijndel to Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia. The blonde attacker is a true goal scoring machine. A player who knows to put the ball in the net, a true menace for the opponents defense. The 20-year old also has great technique. College field hockey coaches from the US took notice. Van Aarle had a difficult task, choosing out of 5 major US universities with excellent offers!
Eventually Moniek chose Liberty University. The personal connection with the coaching staff made the difference. Liberty University Field Hockey is a team in the absolute top of US College Field Hockey. Van Aarle is about to compete with the nation’s best players, in the single highest college division, NCAA Division 1. Opponents are big names such as Michigan, Yale, Duke and North Carolina. 29 September is a date to really look forward to. The blonde goal scorer will meet her former team mate and good friend Julia van Dorsten on the hockey field, Julia currently plays at Old Dominion University.
In Virginia, Van Aarle will be part of a team consisting, for the most part, of American girls. With additional talent from Australia, Argentina and The Netherlands. The attacker can look forward to a great time in the US, combining her studies with top sports. She will also see a lot of different places in the US and play against the best opponents. ‘A Life Changing Experience…’
