Stan Roosken is Urbana University’s newest asset

Last minute, Urbana University has added Stan Roosken to their men’s soccer team. The 21-year old V.V. Olympia defender will be the 3rd Dutch soccer player to compete in the Urbana University men’s soccer team. In the past Lars Blenckers and Jim Roberti played in the team of head coach Nick Roberts.

Stan Roosken is brought in to strengthen the defense against the Nation’s #1, University of Charleston, where he meets Steyn van Ark on the soccer field. After a third place in the Mountain East Conference last season, the Blue Knights are looking to qualify for the National Championships in the 2018 season. The MEC conference already had some strong teams like University of Charleston and Notre Dame College but for coming season West Liberty University has been added to the schedule.

Urbana University has had a boost the last few seasons. The men’s soccer team managed to qualify for the National Championships playoffs two years in a row and the university invested in new facilities like a new soccer field with lighting and new locker rooms.

Outside of soccer Stan is enrolling in the MBA graduate program. This completely new 2-year master program is a result of Urbana University and Franklin University in Columbus combining their academic programs.
